Lynn Smith-Volunteer of the Quarter
|
Lynn Smith came to the Red Cross as a volunteer during the Disaster Response of Humberto. She had participated in a few things prior but Humberto is where she lost her volunteer heart to the Red Cross. Since that time Lynn has worked as a Disaster Action Team member responding to house fires and flooding, an office volunteer helping with the day to day efforts to keep the programs moving forward and most recently she joined the HEROES campaign and has worked at least 20 hours a week on the project. Lynn has also designed our picture ID’s for volunteer and staff and participated in Disaster Planning Exercises. She is not the only one in her family that gives. Her husband is a Disaster Volunteer and Health and Safety Instructor, her son is a Health and Safety Instructor and her daughter is a Health and Safety Instructor and new Response Manager for the Chapter. They are a family that gives and a family that supports their Red Cross.
